International Early Music Course 2018

Corso Internazionale di Musica Antica

The 2018 edition of the International Early Music Course will take place in Romano Canavese from July 28 to August 2 and it will be smarter, shorter and open to all. The course will focus on a more structured interaction between students and tutors, leading to numerous concerts and live performances during the whole week. Playing together with others is one the highest goals for an aspiring musician, then a solid training in chamber music becomes fundamental to reach that objective.

Considering that early music was essentially written for ensembles, the course directed by Manuel Staropoli will foster young ensembles and help students to gather and perform together. Established ensembles as well as musicians at every level — from amateur to professionals — are welcome to take part to the course, attending individual lessons on their instrument as well as ensemble classes as Renaissance consort, improvisation and early dance.
