The XVII International Early Music Course takes place in Romano Canavese from July 26 to August 2, 2015. It offers lessons for every kind of musician, both students, professionals and amateurs. Recorder pioneer and early music researcher Walter van Hauwe will hold a masterclass for the second year with us, together with Carsten Eckert’s masterclass taking place in the next days. Students are offered a vast range of period instrument classes, from wind instruments such as recorder, traverso, baroque oboe and clarinet to strings and harpsichord. Ensemble classes of Renaissance consort, chamber music, improvisation and vocal ensemble are also part of the study programme. A series of lectures, workshops and exhibition are meant to give student valuable information on historical performance practice and are free for participants.
